Mr. Odd García de Presno was born in 1944. He lives in Arendal, a small town in southern Norway, with his computers.

He has written twelve books, and participated in several book projects with other authors. Half his books focus on various aspects of the Internet and online communication. The other books are about practical applications of personal computers. Published in Norway, England, Canada, Germany, Iceland. His book "The Online World resources handbook" has been available online since 1993, and was until recently updated frequently.

Founder and Executive Director of Kidlink from 1990 until 2008: A global, non-profit user-owned organization that helps children understand their opportunities, set goals, and master life. The first prize on "Educational projects for users up to 18 years old" by the Global Junior Challenge (Italy). Online Learning Award of Special Merit ("The Cyber Golden Hearts") from Special Interest Group Telelearning (SIGTel) of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE, United States).

By 2008, Kidlink's activities were supported by some 100,000 web pages in 30+ languages, 500 volunteers in 50 countries, a private multi-lingual network for safe collaboration between children and between educators, art exhibitions of children-created art. Children living in 176 countries had joined for participation.

Founded the software company Data Logic A/S (Norway) in 1967, was president for five years. 1968-1970: Board member of Business Management Promotions Ltd., (England). Sales manager Control Data Corp. seven years (in charge of CYBERNET/Norway, an international service selling application by modem and associated consulting services.). Marketing manager IKO Software Service A/S, two years. Now running his own business.

Educational background includes a Diploma Degree in Business from Bedriftsoekonomisk Institutt (Norway, 1968. Siviløkonom.). Listed in Marquis' "Who's Who in the World" since 1991. Has been professionally involved with online services since 1973, and operated an English-language BBS (1985-1997).
